This Roaring Twenties box is truly a treasure & a rare find. In my opinion, it has stood the test of time remarkably well. The box is covered with fine leather in a dark red wine color & decorative Art Deco gold embossing. The interior is a warm beige. The lid is lined in satin & the bottom in velvet. There are 2 intact grosgrain ribbon straps. The leather color is uniform throughout & the gold decorative embossing is unworn. T here is evidence of age & antique authenticity. This includes an abrasion to the interior velvet, a couple of interior spots, & wear to the corners & over one exterior hinge. The interior width is approx. 1 inch with very shallow depth. The interior length is approx. 8 5/8 inches. The original contents were likely a platinum or diamond bracelet. The box bears the inscription "HELEN December 25, 1923". Makes a wonderful gift box for a timeless treasure or sentimental addition to your antique jewelry collection! The box ships free via USPS Priority Mail.
